Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) require sensors that can see inside and outside the vehicle. A family of diverse sensors monitor other cars and obstacles outside the car and the status of the driver inside the car to ensure attentiveness and focus. TriLumina's infrared emitters are powerful enough to provide depth sensing for flash LiDAR outside the car and refined enough to gently illuminate the inside of the cabin to enable driver monitoring and gesture recognition systems.
Highly versatile design capabilities take advantage of our modular builds to provide the perfect size, power and performance characteristics.At the core of each TriLumina emitter are tiny lasers we build into a semiconductor wafer. These tiny components collectively drive increasingly powerful arrays. Multiple laser arrays can be independently controlled to dynamically illuminate very discrete areas inside the car, like a driver’s head and face. Cameras and advanced image processing techniques do the rest.
